About Me

Bio

I’m lucky to call myself a Denverite, where I’ve lived with my wife Nina and (very good) dog Bruno since 2017.  I’m also a proud Cuban American—my parents came over from Havana in the early 60s and growing up in South Florida I naturally developed a love for mariquitas, fried yuca, and all things Miami sports. After a move to North Carolina, I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with honors, a BA in Psychology, and a Minor in Hispanic Studies.

I felt compelled to service following graduation, and had the amazing opportunity to serve as a College Adviser in the National Advising Corps, a non-profit that places recent grads at underserved high schools to assist with post-secondary counseling as “College Advisers”. I credit this experience for anchoring me throughout my career to always remain humanistic in my thinking. I then got my start at Google in Ann Arbor, worked at HQ at the Googleplex for a few years, before ending up in the Boulder office. After 13 unforgettable years at Google that included 4 promotions across 5 different teams, I ended on a high note as the Head of Social Care. I decided to accept an exit package in 2025 to spend more time traveling and pursue a fresh new chapter.

Curiosity drives how I spend my free time— I still play the guitar and piano daily, listen to jazz records, dabble in various racquet sports, attempt to improve my video editing skills, watch many horror films, travel often (42 countries so far!), and generally love spending quality time with my wife, dog, and many nieces and nephews.
